This painting features the rock strewn stream bed of the Waitakere stream in the Waitakere Ranges west of Auckland, New Zealand. The stream has taken on a rich brown colouring as it is constantly coping with vegetation on its margins. Ferns abound on the fringes and palms make an accent amongst the trees. The message in this painting comes from Psalm 37 v 9 and it reads: Those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.
