This painting captures the magic of the moon’s glow over a well known land mark on Auckland’s North Shore: the tor, an outcrop of granite that is off the coast of Waiake beach in Torbay. Where the light meets the sea, a silvery sheen fuses into it and a shimmering effect is created. This painting attempts to show night time in a positive light and coincides with the message in the foreground on the beach which comes from Isaiah 41 v 10 which reads: So do not fear for I am with you.
