The gannet colony at Muriwai is an awesome site. This painting depicts the colony both offshore and onshore. The gannets wheel and soar in this wild environment as we look on from a cliff top vantage point. The sea pounds the rocks below but the gannets are unperturbed. The message in this painting comes from Psalm 91 v 4 and reads: Under His wings you will find refuge.
